    This is an interesting report.
We have written several editions of Where To Retire In Australia…and visited over 200 locations around Australia. And continue to do so.
We have seen many towns that are experiencing the ‘ageing of the population’.
What is ridiculous is when you see media releases that say certain areas around Australia are ‘popular’ with retirees.
No, they are not all ‘popular’. It often means young people have moved away and there are not people moving to these towns…and these towns are usually a fair distance from a major town.
Last year one property group released a statement saying these areas were popular because people were moving there to free up capital…..this may be true in some areas…but not certainly not all.
