A statistic that is of interest is the population by ethnicity origin by generation category. 1st 2nd onwards.
eg How many Australian Greeks are there as 1st Generation Greek Australians, 2nd Generation, 3nd generation etc.
The other aspect of the Population information plattform is that it does not have an option for potential members to do their own research using their own criterion. This will lead to a greater membership of this very important capability to many ethnic societies that are looking for population data of their ethnic groups in order to develop relevant services.
When is such an option likely to become available?

Hi Leo and thanks for your comment,
You can access our community profile tools (and other tools including economic profiles, population forecasts) here, then find a community profile for a place near you. Within that own tool, you can do your own research to investigate, ancestry, ethnicity, religion and other characteristics of migrants under the ‘who are we?’ menu. If your local council subscribes to the ‘communities of interest’ module, there is a menu item called ‘overseas born’ that gives you more detailed data about the demographic characteristics of that cohort.
