On the .id website homepage, (www.id.com.au) there is a small icon in the top right corner labelled “client login”, behind which hides a wealth of features for subscribing councils.

There are resources (sample emails, PDF’s) for promoting your .id profile, forecast, economy or atlas internally and externally. There is also information about how to link to the site, and icons to include on your website.

There is also a very important section called “product usage statistics”. This will give you a clear indication of how many people are accessing the information on your .id websites. You can measure unique visits, pages viewed, total hits and bandwidth, so it will give you an excellent feel for how actively your site is being used.

You can watch the average daily visits increase as you widely promote the tools and run regular training sessions.
In the event the growth rate slows, you will know it’s time for a reminder to all staff of the benefits of using the .id tools for their resource allocation, service delivery planning and asset management – and maybe it’s also time to schedule some refresher training. You may also need to check that people can find the tools easily on your Council website.
So – please log in regularly by going to www.id.com.au, and don’t hesitate to call us if you have a question about how to use the tools provided – or if you’ve forgotten your password!
